NEW DESIGN LANGUAGES FROM FOUR DESIGNERS

You might be interested in the exhibition "Crossing Paths and New Design Languages", a collaboration between four designers during the London Design Festival. The exhibition runs until September 22 at Studio Sahil's new studio showroom (address below) and features ESMEZ, Studio Sahil, Studio Pangaea and Kätlin Lõbu. All four designers push the boundaries of glass, ceramics, textiles and jewelry through material experimentation and conceptual exploration. The exhibition is a journey of textural exploration, featuring handmade pieces that embody slow design and emphasize time, care and attention to detail.
ESMEZ
Let's talk about the four designers... ESMEZ is a London-based design studio founded by Elif Esmez. Specializing in ceramic-based creative products, ESMEZ will present the Istif collection at the London Design Festival. Istif, meaning “stack of/stacking” in Turkish, refers to Elif's versatile elevated surfaces, which come in various sizes and textures designed to be stacked.
STUDIO SAHIL
Award-winning London-based design studio Sahil is inspired by natural phenomena, patterns and forms. The name 'Sahil', which means 'shore' in Turkish, reflects this connection with nature. For LDF, Studio Sahil will present new blown glass objects based on research with volcanic sand and ash. These natural materials come from Eyjafjallajökull, Snæfellsnes and Reynisf in Iceland.
KATLIN LŌBU
Kätlin Lõbu is a freelance curator and textile designer working mainly with natural materials such as linen and cotton. Kätlin intertwines her experiences and influences to encode a new language and build her own narrative in contemporary patchwork design. She combines bold colors from Asia, heritage knitting patterns from her native Estonia, and the influences of the vibrant city of London.
STUDIO PANGAEA
Founder Ayşe E. Coşkun is a product designer and academic. Ayşe will be exhibiting a range of handmade jewelry under the Studio_Pangaea brand for the first time at the London Design Festival.
DÖRT FARKLI TASARIMCIDAN YENİ TASARIM DİLLERİ
Londra Tasarım Festivali sırasında dört tasarımcının bir araya gelerek oluşturduğu “Crossing Paths and New Design Languages” sergisi ilginizi çekebilir. 22 eylüle kadar Studio Sahil’in yeni atölye showroom’unda (adresi aşağıda) sürecek sergiye ESMEZ, Studio Sahil, Studio Pangaea ve Kätlin Lõbu katılıyor. Dört tasarımcı da malzeme deneyleri ve kavramsal araştırmalarla cam, seramik, tekstil ve mücevherin sınırlarını zorluyor. Sergi, yavaş tasarımı somutlaştıran, zaman, özen ve ayrıntılara dikkati vurgulayan el yapımı parçaların yer aldığı doku keşfine bir yolculuk niteliğinde.
ESMEZ
Gelelim dört tasarımcının kimler olduğuna… Londra merkezli bir tasarım stüdyosu olan ESMEZ, Elif Esmez tarafından kurulmuş. Seramik bazlı kreatif ürünlerde uzmanlaşan ESMEZ, Londra Tasarım Festivali'nde Is koleksiyonu sergileyecek.
STUDIO SAHIL
Londra merkezli ödüllü tasarım stüdyosu Sahil; doğal fenomenler, desenler ve formlardan ilham alıyor. Türkçe'de sahil/kıyı anlamına gelen 'Sahil' ismi doğayla olan bu bağlantıyı yansıtıyor. Studio Sahil LDF için volkanik kum ve külle yapılan bir araştırmaya dayanan yeni üfleme cam objelerini sergileyecek. Bu doğal malzemeler İzlanda’daki Eyjafjallajökull, Snæfellsnes ve Reynisf'ten elde edilmiş.
KATLIN LŌBU
Kätlin Lõbu ağırlıklı olarak keten, pamuk gibi doğal malzemelerle çalışan serbest küratör ve tekstil tasarımcısı. Kätlin, deneyimleriyle yeni bir dil kodluyor ve çağdaş patchwork’te kendi anlatısını inşa ediyor.
STUDIO PANGAEA
Kurucusu Ayşe E. Coşkun bir ürün tasarımcısı ve akademisyen. Ayşe, Studio_Pangaea markası altında ilk kez Londra Tasarım Festivali'nde bir dizi el yapımı mücevher sergileyecek.
